Jerry Motsinger, husband of my dear friend Sandy Motsinger in Prairie Village, KS, is going for surgery today to have a cancerous kidney removed. Take a moment and pray for Jerry, for the surgeons and nurses that will treat him and care for him, and that the cancer is as contained as it appeared to be in their pre-surgical tests. I can't be there - so I trust that your prayers will help carry my friend and her husband through this rough spot.
(It's at times like this that being 590 miles from my long-term friends is really, really annoying.)
